Ladies who have had bariatric weight loss surgery, please help, i need to know........? |
i am having the procedure done 3-27-07. really need to know will my breast size decrease with the weight loss? right now i am a 46d/dd. will this stay the same or will i go down some? I had gastric bypass surgery in April 2005. I started out at 268, now I鈥檓 180 and holding. These links will help you in many ways to make a decision if this is for you or not. I vote yes, because it made such a difference in my life. I was taking 8 pills a day, and after my surgery, I lost my diabetes. The way they do the surgery, takes your diabetes away. I no longer have to take glucophage, and I no longer have high Cholesterol or high blood pressure. I鈥檓 down to 2 pills a day. I went from a size 26-28 to a 16-18. Oh, it will go down as long as you follow the doctor's instructions after surgery and lose weight. I didn't have this--my niece did. Her breasts were really big before the surgery. I don't know, maybe the same as yours. She's a 34B now. She lost 170 lbs. after starting at 300 lbs. My mother had it done in December. Yes, your breasts will decrease, but it will not be immediate. Everything will go down but it won't stay down unless you have counseling for the reasons you use food to pacify yourself. Most of my cousins have had it done and one sister and are all regaining the weight. What are you going to do with those feelings that make you go get food? I know how it is because I'm the same way. I asked my sister this same thing and she had no answer. She has many health problems from the surgery-twice admitted to ICU and is gaining weight every week. One of my girl cousins showed us at family reunion how she deals with her issues. Bear in mind now, she is a Dr herself. We all ate at a pizza buffet and she piled her plate sky high, ate it all and headed for the bathroom. She came out and reloaded and then did it the third time. She has stretched her esophagus out into a pouch above the ring she had put in so she couldn't overeat ever again. She says she can't help it and knows it will kill her when the pouch breaks and it will. Weight is a mental health issue whether it is obesity or anorexia. Have you even checked the statistics on this? I know close to 20 people who've had it done and all gain it back. Drs make a lot of money off of this as it seems like an answer to prayerbut believe me it is not. Good Luck and God Bless I work for a bariatric surgeon. You will loose weight all over. |
