Anyone had weight loss surgery?

I need to find information on the best vitamin, mineral and protein supplements. Also foods that work well for WLS patients.

gastric bypass 5yrs ago. You need to make sure your iron and b12 levels are good!! You have a really big chance of having anemia afterwards. As for protein supplements those aren't usually a good thing. They have a tendency to have more sugars etc.. in them so depending on the surgery you are having, you may find yourself getting sick.
You will need to start eating a LOT of protein filled items. Lots of eggs in the beginning. then moving up to the meats. That is very, very important.
Also calcium supplements with vitamin D. You can have a serious deficiency afterwards,trust me, lol.

I had it in 2004........... I take Walmart pre-natal vitamins becuase they have a lot more of everything. I also take 1000mg of B12 a day. I don't use protein supplements I just make sure I eat some kind of protein daily.
