Weight loss surgery?

has anybody had any experience with this? i would like to have the perspective of diifferent types of surgeries.

I have not had the surgery but my mother and a friend did my mother had the full blown one and my friend had the lap band and I think the lapband is a safer way to go. That is just my feelings on that but there are so many sites now with all the info on it. My mother had a longer recover period also. I think the lapband is the healther way to go. Good luck on your journey.

unless you are seriously overweight i don't know if i would do the gastric bypass surgery. My friend pat did it. she went from a size 22 to a size 2 and she is a pretty lady but she looks older and her skin just kinda hangs there her Feminine parts aren't so feminine anymore, she looks very anorexic and i think alot of it is in her head. but she went through some ruff times. My friend Leann had it done she looks older in the face. she's not as skinny as pat but she has alot of extra skin around her mid section that needs plastic surgery to be removed. So really, i would consult a doctor and yourself before i went to that extreme. Cause once you do it there is no going back

Gastric Bypass Surgery/gastrectomy/lapband (all types of weight loss /bariatric surgery) is very cheap and safe in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges obesity surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.

I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as obesity surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your obesity surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

My cousin got her obesity surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare .SHe is more than very happy with the results. She has lost 65lbs in 5 months. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.hope this helps
