My friend just had a weight loss surgery. Any ideas for a gift? |
Food would not be an appropriate gift. * A pedometer and a book on walking. Gift certificate for a clothing store? How about a "sorry for your loss" card. giftcard for her favorite store to buy new clothes in her new size. or a get well card so she can recover. a cheese burger How about getting him/her a book on diet and exercise. I don't say this to sound mean. It is proven than many many many many people who have weightloss surgery gain the weight back because they do not actually know how to eat properly, and after they can start eating normal foods again, it's all over. Also, its also proven that people who had food addictions will replace their addiction to food with another addiction, so maybe a book that teaches how to deal with addiction. Gift Certificate to a Buffet. I always try to find something that they are interested in or collect. Tickets to an event, concert or play something that you can do with them? I would not consider clothes becuse if they never lose enough weight to wear the item it could be a disappoitment. Something that would encourage them to be more active as this will help them with losing more weight. |
