Overdosing on thyroid medication...Disorder or creative weight control?

I have a disorder called Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, but basically its just a really complicated form of hypothyroidism (low). But the strange thing is I dont have the same symptoms. I've always been little (never broke 116, but right now I'm about 95 lbs). But when I know I'm going to be eating a lot sometimes I'll take an extra half pill to kinda boost my metabolism. Is this some kind of eating disorder or is it just creative weight control?

Basically you need to understand the nature of your current disorder(Hashimoto Thyroiditis).

Hashimoto thyroiditis is a condition where-in your body defenses attack and block thyroid hormone, which impedes its normal function.

Thyroid hormones are definitely substancial elements of various metabolic activities of the body. Without its presence, these activities will br ceases. Which in turn make the individual label as HYPOTHYROID.

You maybe probably given anti-HYPOthyroid drugs to support your thyroid hormones and boost up your metabolism.

Any additional amount to computed dossage of medication can alter the balance of your metabolic activity and make you more HYPERthyroid.

Then thats the time you loose more weight.

Regarding to your HABIT.... its like psyhological to you to take a thyroid drugs coz i personally believe that you became dependent on it already. Since you already know the effect of the medication, you prefer to took advantage on the effect of the pill.

It is a dangerous creativity which an even kill you!Thyroid hormon replacements, not only increase your metabolism, but also affect almost every organ.Increased heart rate and contractillity are among the effects.JUST FOLLOW YOUR PHYSICIAN PRESCRIPTION

how about a mental disorder because you must be crazy to misuse medications so caually.

Sounds like an eating disorder to me. Even at 116, you are probably underweight. Taking extra hormone can result in heart trouble, so stop using the meds for weight control, especially when you don't need it. Maybe you should be seen for anorexia.
