Should I take weight control supplements?

I am 34 years of age, male, and gaining weight. I have been working in a position which requires me to be physycally inactive through out the ten to twelve hours work day for the past year. I have gained some twenty five pounds and three inches around my waist and I am convinced this is as a result of my job because the only drastic change affecting me is my new job. I have decreased the amount of calories and even increased my physical activity before and after work. I spend my lunch hour walking. Is there a safe weight loss/control supplement in the market which can help in my situation? Or can it be something more serious? Please advise, Thanks

Before you start to use any supplements the best place for you to start would be a colon cleanser, because a lot of the excess weight could be toxics already in your body. You should also start to use the bathroom 2-3 times a day. An herbal colon cleanser that will help cleanse your system in 7 days and train your body to use the bathroom at least 2 times a day is Called Nutri-Clean found at

Ultimate Aloe Juice also helps your digestive tract

The best place I can refer you to for Weight Management and Weight Control would be

One supplement I personally use is something called MochaTonix. Its main use is not only fat burning; it is more of an herbal supplement for coffee, it keeps you up with energy, but in the process it also boosts your metabolisms and Supports weight loss and control. So it is a supplement that is cheap, much healthier than coffee, and helps with weight loss.

The best thing for you to do if you鈥檙e really interested in maximizing benefits from any supplement out there, would be to take a free questionnaire called the Nutri-Physical and get a report of what would personally be the best supplement for you, or you could get a custom supplement made for you. You can the the Nutri-Physical at

Thyroid maybe, or your metabolism is just slowing down due to your age. It happens! Keep active after work, watch what you eat and you should be fine. A supplement will only work if you are dieting and exercising.

No,
Try Weight Watchers. I lost 60 pounds in about 6 months. It really works if you follow the plan.

no drugs to help, sorry.

move more, eat less

keep eating less untill you reverse this, about a pound a week is what you are looking for.

no sugar, no fried food

think grilled skinless chicken breast, no salad dressing, fruits, water...... rice....... and not untill you are full

losing weight is tough.... very tough in your job

how about a very active hobby ? kayaking ?? biking ?

The best, most effective weight loss/control program is simply eating a healthy well-balanced diet, drinking lots of water, and exercising regularly (5 x a week is great).

you can try supplements (Xyience is a respectable brand), but usually once you stop taking them, you can gain the weight back. the best thing to do is keep doing what you're doing, which is eating healthier and exercising. try doing some weight lifting, because that will increase your metabolism and help with your weight loss

The fact is unfortunately their is no magic pill out their. Most people want something either to loose weight and get the six pac, or others want to become buff and shredded overnight just don鈥檛 happen that way. This is a very argumentative topic cause everyone has their own idea of what works best. My theory is all natural. Don鈥檛 let those TV add and magazine add with fat burners fool you. I mean they are good for bodybuilders looking to shead some body fat but for someone who is overweight you may not see to much results. Fat burners tend to get you ampted from the caffene and make you feel hot lots of the time. Some people even become sleepless. If your looking for overall weight loss my best advice is this. Try cardio exercise as well as strength training with light weights, and lots of reps to get your heart rate up. Five to seven small meals a day help is recommended by the FDA and has been proven to boost your metabolism and stop the storage of fat. Try eating chicken, tuna, salmon, turkey, anything with loin as in sirloin or pork loin usually are pretty lean cuts. Pretty much good choices. Whole wheat is your best friend 100% whole wheat bread, pasta, its better than white cause the carbs take longer to digest which wont cause a spike in your insulin levels which in return will not cause fat storage. Don鈥檛 forget oatmeal which is great in the morning. Egg whites which are low in cholesterol better than whole eggs, and a great source of protein. Fat free everything. Lots of vegetables believe me frozen are better than caned when it comes to taste. Fruit is good as well. Don鈥檛 believe all the gimmicks when they say carbs are bad. Their not you just have to know the difference between a piece of chocolate cake and a fruit cup. Drinking a good amount of water and staying hydrated has been proven to boost metabolism which in turn will help you burn fat and loose weight. A good multi-vitamin. Their are a couple all natural supplements out their they say have been proven to help you loose fat without the side effects of normal thermogenic fat burners. The two are called CLA, L Carnitine. I鈥檓 not too familiar with L Carnitine but CLA their have been a few tests on which have concluded that the test subjects lost weight and gained lean muscle mass. CLA helps boost your immune system and like I said their is no side effects at all. Its just like taking your multi-vitamin. Their is a lot of info on the internet when it comes to eating right, as well as the health section at the book store. I鈥檓 not aware of your age, or your gender, or your medical history so before starting any diet, supplement, or exercise plan you should consult your doctor first. Again this is just my opinion. I body build naturally and it all has to do with what you eat and when you eat it. Nutrient timing is key. I hope this answered your question. If you have any other questions feel free to let me know. Good luck.

There are no safe, effective weight control supplements. Most of them work by pulling a few pounds of water off in the early days, making you think they're working. A lot of them contain ephedra, which is very dangerous and can lead to high blood pressure and a lot of other physical problems. Some people swear by green tea extract. That's about the only one I would try, since it hasn't yet been shown to cause any bad side effects.
I checked out some sites with chair exercises, but it didn't look like any of them were strenuous to help with weight loss.

First of all make sure you havea good balance diet and excerise hard.
there are alot of stuff as far as weight control supplements out there.
But two products I like alot are Cheaters Relief
and Lean Dessert Protein both by BSN.

Natural Appetite Suppresant

A couple of years ago a friend that I hadn't seen in a while had lost a considerable amount of weight and absolutely just glowed. Her skin and hair looked healthy when I would have expected to see some dryness and sagging from that much weight loss.

She had bought a rebounder (mini-trampoline), kept it in her office as she has work from home business and would get on it at 30 minute or so intervals for anywhere from 3 minutes to 15 minutes, depending on her schedule. On days that she couldn't or didn't get on it that often, she would make time for a single 20 minute session using rebound exercise videos for different moves. I was concerned that it would only exercise the lower part of the body, but it is actually very much a whole body process.

She looks and feels fabulous and the rebounder is still in her office and very much a part of her daily routine. She bought the one that folds in half so she can store it in the closet if necessary, or under a bed.

After seeing how much her health had improved, I bought one as well. While not as diligent as she is (yet) I have definitely lost weight and my legs, buttocks and back have really begun to show some definition. I also have a good bit more energy. I have noticed that if I miss a day or so, my energy levels flag. My intention is to rebound daily. I bought mine at Rebound to Health.

It cost about $200 but is commercial quality and I fully expect it to last me for many years to come.

Hope this helps!

Weight control supplements will only work if you feel that you are over-eating. They can suppress your appetite. The thing is, that from what you described it sounds like it is the inactivity of your new job, not over-eating. So my advice is to keep walking during lunch and try to find time to get in even more exercise and keep the sugar / carb intake low. It certainly can't hurt to go the the doctor and have a few tests done to make sure something isn't really messing up your metabolism like hypothyroidism, diabetes, or adrenal problems.

I use an all natural cleansing system and I have never felt better. since introducing this to my body I have been able to release 20 lbs and 4 sizes

Drink more water and try to get some weight lifting in. Do squats at your desk. Stash hand weights and a stretch band under your desk to use when you have a few minutes. Build muscle which dramatically increases fat burning. Skip the pills which could be a health hazard.
