Birth Control= WEIGHT GAIN.*???

i just started taking alesse birth control pills
but i heard it makes you gain weight..
is that really true.*??
and is it even worth it.*?

Well, I work at Planned Parenthood and what I have learned and what we tell our patients is that birth control does not make you gain weight. What it does is make you hungrier than usual so you eat more. Just make sure that you are aware of what you are eating and try not to eat any more than usual and drink a lot of water to help yourself feel full.

All contraceptive, with the exception of the condom, causes weight gain, it varies from person to person, but it they all do that. get a low dose contraceptive, or use what i use, condom.

it all depends.
are you eating healthy and exercising?
and its not about the pill, its about the
amount of hormones in it.
so if your pills have a high amount
of hormones in it and you dont weigh
that much, then its likely you could gain
weight.

just about every birth control causes you to gain weight but its not dramatic..its like five pounds..Just be more active with sports or the gym and you will be fine.
