Hair loss due to birth control or weight loss? |
I've been on Tricyclen 21 now for about a year and a bit now. I've also lost a lot of weight this past year. I have also been on birth control since I was about 16 but I was on a different one before tricyclen. I'm losing a lot of hair and developing a cowlick. Any solutions or ideas about this? Could it be my birth control or diet? How do I make it stop? It is most likely your diet that is causing the hair loss. Believe it or not, hair needs vitamins to stay healthy. However, in terms of needs, there are many parts of your body that need vitamins more than hair. Therefore, if you are dieting and cutting back on food intake (and therefore, vitamins), there is not enough left over for your hair. If you take some vitamins, this should help. Take a multivitamin and add either Vitamin E or Gelatin capsules as well. Diet. Take vitamins. Probably the diet. Take a good vitamin and use a good shampoo for thinning hair. They do sell vitamins specifically for healthy hair and scalp. |
