How does a grape fruit help weight control ect.. after eating? I have always wondered about that. Maybe some one will be able to come up with an answer. Grapefruits actually burn more calories during the digestion process than they actually contain in the first place. Strawberries also have this effect, and contribute to weight loss because, while you are in fact eating, you are subtracting, not adding to your overall caloric intake. its good. but whats better is pinapple. if you eat it with fatty foods, it doesn't let the fat get stored. please go to google, type in grape fruit diet. what a great diet and what great info, try it, lm sure you will be pleased. good luck. Grapefruit is a high fiber food, so it helps reduce your cholesterol and helps clean the digestive tract. Grapefruit also has a high water content. It has a lot of nutrients, but it's not magic. Grape fruit should be one component of a healthy, balanced diet including a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains, and low (or non) fat dairy products. I beleive this to be a bit of a myth. It is said that it burns calories faster if you have one. What is not a myth is that they are low calorie and a nice healthy meal option for breakfast.
