Walkers: I have a few questions?

I recently started walking because I enjoy excersize, but don't always have time to gear up to do something more intense like running, biking or rowing. My adverage speed is about 3.5 mph and I usually walk 50 minutes at lunch and anywhere from and 1 hour to 1.75 hrs when after work if I can fit it in. I feel great and have lost a few pounds -- I wouldn't mind losing a couple more.. -- and toned up a little (I also strength train w/ free weights and callesthetics).

I would like to know more about your personal experience walking so I have a few questions:

1. How often do you walk and for how long each time?

2. Was your goal to lose weight?

3. Have you lost any weight? (how much?)

4. How long have you been walking regularly?

5. Do you practice a healthy diet?

6. Do you have any tips and tricks to maximize a walk workout?

1. Every day it's not raining, after dinner. I walk about 4.5 MPH.

2. Not at all, it was to GAIN weight by building up calve mucles.

3. I've become more toned and strong.

4. 45 minutes to 1 hour.

5. Yeppers.

6. I do 50 squats a day in order to really build up my legs. I also lift 5-lb dumbells so my arms aren't sticks.;)

a few times a week, 45-1 hour or so
