Why do people get emotionally attached to things like wheelchairs and walkers? |
Why do people get emotionally attached to things like wheelchairs and walkers? Because they become a part of you. I spent three years on crutches when I was in high school and I used to get really mad at people when they wanted to play with them. I work security in a resort area and our employees have to take a sensitivity class to stress the point that wheelchairs are actually an extension of the people sitting in them--if you're touching a wheelchair without asking, it's like touching that person without asking. mayb because ur onli way of gettin around was that wheelchair it offered u a sense of freedom. thats y ur so attached! try ging to places of doing things that u ***** do with a wheelchair. it will make u feel grateful u cn walk. U need to let go! |
