Donate/sell handicap walkers and equipment?

i have a couple of handicap equipment that i would like to get out of my garage. i have 2 rolling walkers, and one of those bedside depository toilet things. if im unable to sell it, id really like to donate it. im quite the busy person and i dont have the time to drive to the nearest nursing home and beg them to take it. btw, these equipments are never used. advice anyone?

<>Salvation Army or Goodwill

Check out Freecycle in your area to have it p/u at your house. Freecycle is a mailing list from Yahoogroups. or Freecycle.com. There are groups all over the US.

Or call an orthopedist. They can't reuse this equipment (even if it is new), but my orthopedist "recycles" crutches, braces, etc on medical missions trips around the world. Perhaps he or your primary care physician know of such a person / event.

You can always donate it to Goodwill, Salvation Army, local thrift store.

Or call the local nursing home to see if they'll be able to use it before you drive there. My thinking is that due to health regulations, they wouldn't be able to take it anyways.

i would ask your local church. go to a old folks home to see if anyone needs one. there is always goodwill or the red cross

Wheels tend to be static and so turning corners is a problem. The balls allow the walker to be maneuverable in any direction, bit like that famous vacuum cleaner. Best of Luck
