Mall Walker?

Are any of you a "mall walker?" I've been thinking of trying it, I have a small mall near my house that I don't care for, the bigger mall would be more fun but it is a 20 mile round trip. Is it worth the drive?

Walk the bigger mall. It IS worth the drive. ANYTIME an activity is MORE FUN, it is far more likely you will stick with it!

Advice: Wear quality walking shoes. Mall walking is hard on the knees, hips and back if you do not have proper arch support or cushioning.

HAVE FUN!!! (You will run into the same faces every time you go because you will not be the only one showing up to walk! Stop and have a water or coffee with them and make some new friends.) Oh, and drive carefully! :)

A...mall walker? So you consider it exercise to walk around a mall? No, I wouldn't drive 20miles to walk around a mall for exercise. I mean I guess if you have nothing to do, and never exercise then it's a good start. Maybe you should walk to the mall and back.

Because the Mall is 20 miles round trip, you won't stick with it. I would consider getting a treadmill. I love mine and I have it in front of the TV .Going out your front door for a walk is great exercise but with bad weather and the treadmill you will always be able to exercise. Don't forget strength exercising too. You need both for optimum fitness.

No, I think you re being lazy. Walk around your neighborhood (FAST) or jog. I don't think walking around the mall will do anything for you unless you are very obese and NEVER get any kind of physical activity. I mean, think about it...there will be people in your way of actually moving and you will stop to browse in stores. That is NOT exercise. It's the lazy man's exercise. You want and need your heart rate to elevate.
