Does ne1 know why im not losing weight? |
Im a 26 year old male, and i weigh 94kg. I have been attending gym 3 times a week for 5 months and my sessions consist of To answer ur questions I drink Tea (1 sugar), water or Ribena/Fruitjuice(fresh). Have you had your thyroid checked? People with a thyroid condition will gain weight even though they don't change their eating habits. Well as a 26 year old male you should be having 2000 Cal's to loose weight, if what you say is true then you might have an under active thyroid, that would stop you loosing weight get that checked out first It sounds like you're not eating enough. You have to give your body fuel to run on so that it will burn body fat. If you don't eat enough, you'll end up burning muscle instead of fat, which is the opposite of what you want. I recommend eating a large breakfast and add some protein to your snacks, and eat small things more often so your metabolism is always working. I also recommend signing up for the website below and make sure you're getting enough protein, "good" fats (poly and monounsaturated), fiber, and nutritents. You can also plug in your exercises and find out how much you're eating and burning every day. your most probably burning sugars instead of fats........your metabolism is out of source. makes sure you start your exercise with a slow slow warm up....for about fifteen minutes.......exercise and aslow warm down...getting rid of those toxins.....make sure your foods are high energy alkaline based.....foods high in energy...kick start your organs, people neglect the inner part of the body...it needs love and attention as well....knock off the dairy crap and meats......fish is fine I have a follow-up: what are you washing that all down with? Juice? Soda? Water? Because what you drink might have a lot of calories in it. Otherwise, I'd say either your workouts are not very intense, or you're leaving something out. You do cardio for 45 minutes, but what do you do in that time? How far do you row? How far do you bike? etc. How many calories do you burn in that period? Could you be sleep-eating? This eating disorder is quite rare but if you take sleeping pills, it could cause such an eating disorder. In case you don't know about it, sleep-eating is when a person falls asleep and can still manage to get up to find something in the fridge to eat or to even prepare something using an oven, stove-top etc. This is all done without the person's knowledge. If you want to know more about it, try this website: STOP eating are you mad that far to much food 3 meals a day sum people don't get 1 ,"OK i am sorry but come on use your head" If your going for muscle gain you need to eat somehwhere around 1gram of protein for each pound of body weight. 200lb person would need 200 grams. You'll lean down quicker by eating complex carbs like broccoli, green beans and asparagus. As for your calorie needs; times your weight of what you want to weigh by 10 for sedentary, 11 for average exercise and 12 if you work out a lot, ie; 200 x 12 = 2400calories. If you want to gain muscle and lose weight, keeping protein in your system will keep your body in an anabolic (muscle growing) state. Avoid empty calories like beer, cornflakes and pasta. why dont you try just try having your brekkie on a morning, and a full veggie packed meal on afternoon or skip brekkie n have a sarnie for lunch then your dinner bout 4ish. just snack on celery or sumthing if your hungry thru the day. Try eating more fibre. Instead of corn flakes you could have some shredded wheat or bran flakes. Do you use skimmed or semi skimmed milk? Try skimmed milk, it doesn't taste very nice but it contains the least fat. you diet doesnt look good at all and i think you are underestimateing your calorie intake. I think you can probably tell from pretty much everyone who has answered that your diet is not perfect for losing fat. You need to get a proper diet sorted out for your needs from proffessionals who know what they are talking about. Like weight watchers who have a much better view on diets than they did in the 80's and early 90's. By eating less calories than you should doesn't always equal weight loss. If you end up starving your body of the nutrients it needs your body will get them from else where. It gets them by breaking your muscles down which in turn makes your muscles smaller and reduces your metabolic rate. With this reduced your cornflakes, crisps, pasta and bread are more likely to get stored as body fat. Also by not eating enough your body goes into a starvation mode which makes it store fat more to give you enough energy for thenext time. Basically what a lot of us are saying is eat more and eat better. |
