I'm an avid walker...bout 20-30 miles a week...my problem is , i use a sunscreen on my neck and shoulders but

keep getting red in these areas...my sunscreen is suppose to be waterproof but is not working ...any suggestions????

cover up the back of your neck with a hankerchief or something. or try a new sunscreen. its important that you put on sunscreen at least 10 minutes before you intend on being in the sun because it needs a chance to absorb into your skin to be able to work properly. if you are just sweating it off immediatly its not going to work

use spf 999999 Report It

Try a higher SPF.

Mary Kay has a great sunscreen. I know a lady who forgot to put it on one spot, and that spot BURNED BIG TIME. The rest was a beautiful tan.

there is not much you can do, i am a runner and have the same problem, try putting a towel or t shirt over them

use 50 spf i think you need stronger sun block make shere u use enoff

You may want to get a new brand. Get a high SPF and waterproof. You may not be applying it enough.

What SPF are you using? You should be using something that is 25 and higher.
If you still get red then I suggest covering your shoulders and and neck when you are walking....I know that makes it hot, but it's better then the alternative.

ive seen a neutrogena spf 70, i dont know if it comes any stronger over the counter. you might want to see a dermatologist because it seems that your skin is very sensitive to the uv light. but keep slathering it on! this summer is going to be hot and skin cancer/ wrinkles seem to come out of no where

If you're out in sun for long time these sunscreen usually need to be reapplied every 2~3 hours or so. It might be better to cover up neck and shoulder. Addition to sunscreen. Sometimes sun's UV ray can penetrate clothing quite easily. They actually have special clothing stores that sell UV protective outfits.

Cover up. There are long sleeve shirts and hats that will protect you from the sun and not be too warm for the weather. No sunblock is totally effective.

wear a shirt and a hat.

try a stronger sunscreen.

walk in the shade.

walk at night.

wear one of these:
