Grandma's arm going numb? |
My grandma is 72 and after she rode the bus from michigan to minnesota her arm has been weird. When she arrived here her arm was pretty stiff and didn't hurt too bad. But today it is hurting her. She took Ibuprofen but it hasn't helped very much. In Michigan she also moved so furnature recently. And she is a senior companion so she has to lift some walkers into the car. Grandma needs to check this out with a health care provider. If she is a caregiver, she might not be taking really good care of herself. She may be having a stroke - get her to an emergency room! How recently was she on the bus? She could have a blood clot in her shoulder, from being to still for too long. It sounds odd but it really does happen.( the best indicator for that would be swelling) She could have also cramped or pinched a nerve in her neck which could cause numb or tingling feelings. Aleve would be better for her to take rather than ibuprofen if she can take it. |
