Jogging vs Walking? |
Okay,so,I know it's possible to lose this much by jogging for an hour every day, but what if I walked instead? I just went for a jog and felt sick,tired and sore-can I just do a brisk walk? Will this have the same benefits? siwmming is the best It's not what you are doing but how far you are doing it. Walking or jogging for a mile burns about the same calories. So as long as you do it for the same distance you will experience the benefits. A little bit Yeah. well you can jog for an hour every day your just not use to it so thats why you fell sick ! but if u walk then u need to dubble the time you would for joging ! ` so if u jog for an hour every day then u need to walk for 2 hours instead Actually walking briskly is probably a better option for you until you are more fit. Its easier on your joints. Just increase the length of your walking and you should be able to move up to jogging later when you are more fit if you feel you need to. walking Actually a brisk walk is the best form of excercise for women and men. What I do is interval walking/jogging. I'll walk for 30 minutes, jogged for 2, walked for 3 jogged for1......you get your second wind and if you are only jogging for a short time you can look forward to walking in a minute or 2. I shaped up quick doing this. It's great cardiovascular, less harmful on joints and internal organs. Just brisk walking is more than the average American. I see these pained expressions on joggers faces. There are certain races that are made for it and i dont think you are one of them so relax and enjoy your power walk. Enjoyment should be part of your exercise regime. Good for you. Think of it this way... Anything that you do is better than nothing. If you walk you're still exercising. Power walking is better for your body as a whole because it is easier on your joints and bones than jogging. When you jog or run, you are pounding on everything, but when you walk you are being much more gentle on your body. I prefer to walk at a brisk pace, unless I need to get somewhere and I can't use my car, then I run. dry swimming is the best |
