Suffering with vulvodynia?

I think I may be suffering with this - and I am looking for people who have actually gotten this diagnosis - If you are willing to share, I would like to know how long it took to actually get a diagnosis and figure it out. And what some of your symptoms are, and how you've personally obtained relief. Many doctors either don't know what it is, or seem to care for that matter. I've been brushed off and told it is an "infection" and even as far as Lichen sclerosis (it is not - biopsy negative) Then they send you home with yeast treatments!! Grrr!! I'm just so tired of this- it's effecting every aspect of my life right now - I can't even sleep! thanks.

Not to be rude, but I really only want answers from people who suffer with this - others could never understand. Thanks ;)

Having worked in the OB/GYN field over 12 years ---all I can tell you is what you probably already know about the condition and that if you doctors are not aggressive in helping find relief ---find new doctors!

i just came down with this,,,i hate it,,I dont know what to do,,,i cant sleep or sit or enjoy anything,,,it comes and goes all day,,,at times i am ok,,and at other times i want to die! My symptons are,,,pulsating throbbing down there,,,a a weird feeling when I pee,,,,Do you have that too? I know its not a yeast infection,,its not itchy! I have tried tylenol,,it helps me to sleep for a couple hrs,,,i am going to try cold clothes next,,,if you have any suggestions email me!
