I've been taking Loestrin 30 since February on recommendation of my doctor, who advised me to take three packets in a row to avoid intense vulvodynia pain immediately after my period. This means I have 9 weeks without a period and 1 week without the pill where I have a 2 day period. I've been doing this but missed a pill a few weeks back and got some break through bleeding, so I decide to take the one week break after only 5 weeks. I've had my week off (starting saturday 29th and ending friday 5th). I started the pill again on saturday but since then I've been bleeding a little throughout the day. Does anyone know why this is happening and what I should do? I have a doctors appt on friday, but would like a little insight while I'm waiting. I don't think you should worry if it's not much blood, but ask the doctor anyway. because you've been taking it irregularly, your periods will be irregular. you should have ignored the missed pill. the doctor will probably advise you to take the pills as prescribed, with the one week break every 4 weeks. if you haven't had any pain, then there's nothing to worry about |
