What to expect after surgery for pre cancer? |
I have pre cancer of the vulvar the dr told me that two weeks ago. Hi. I have had two surgeries, laser and a wide local excision, for VIN 3 (Vulvar Intraepethelial Neoplasia) or severe vulvar dysplasia. If you just have pre-cancerous changes as it sounds like you do you will not need chemotherapy or radiation, that is saved for invasive vulvar cancer. Good going. Sounds like your problem was caught in time. One step at a time. Get through the surgery, get your strength back. Whatever treatment necessary you will get through them. At this point of your situation things are darn scary. Whatever is right for you the Drs. will lead through. Please try to just focus on what your dealing with at the moment. You may be worrying more then you need to & that could effect your recovery. Good Luck! |
