I need information on charities that will help mewith money to pay my rent. I am a cancer patient .?

I am facing eviction this month,because I havent been able to work because of my illness.I am getting much better now,I've had vulvar cancer three times.I live in Madison,Wi. I've been to every agencyand church in the city and haven't been successful so far. My landlord has been very patient with me but I cant come up with the money. I will be receiving social security by next month or early Sept.2007.I cant afford to lose my apartment, I have no family or freinds I can live with and I have many doctors appts. I have an Oncology spcialist, pain mgmt. Dr., PhysicalTherapy . I just need help to pay my bills this month and I'll beable to go from there. If anyone knows of anyone who can help me I'd be forever grateful.Thank You for listening ,and God Bless You.

Get to your local news station today show them the documentation that you have cancer and ask them to ask the public to help you in your area. I too was faced with this and it's terrifying, I was misdiagnosed and hope to have a law suit and win it and when I do I want to start a NOT FOR PROFIT organization for people just diagnosed with cancer so they can live without the terror of losing their homes, pets, etc. I'm uspset with the amount of money the Cancer Society takes in and it's used for reasearch, admin, etc. In Manitoba Ontario people found out that 40% of the money donated went to Administration and they are really upset. Thats really a high amount for Admin when they could be helping financially a bit. But they don't they only offer books, pamplets and peer support, yoga, tai chi, but who can even try relax when your losing not only your home but your life quite possibly as well. It's strange because everyone I talked about this really thought that the Cancer Society helped financially and were shocked to find out that this was not the case at all. My heart goes out to, I'm in the same boat as you and I wish you the best and will pray for you. It's terrifying isn't it.

Suggestion 1. Store your personal belongings and go to a women's shelter.
Suggestion 2. Contact the social services department of the hospital where your primary MD is..... they aught to give suggestions. They know where all the resources are.

I am sorry to say this, but maybe your asking has been done wrong..... People dont know who you are if you come into them cold and ask for money to keep your apartment. Whining doesnt help either, its like begging. Try sitting on a street begging with a cup for one day and see the responses on peoples faces.
How do people know you wont use the money for drugs?
Do you have insurance?
Have a fund, set up at a bacnk to recieve the miebny so taht it is monitoredand people KNOW that their money IS well used.
People are suspicious, just like you are of others motives and intent..... so

Prove who you are
Prove what you have
Provide MD information
Provide information about your cancer
Provide reasons why you cannot work
Provide viable information on your search
You have access to a computer download information and pass it out to those you inquire with ... be proactive NOT reactive

i checked out pandas web sites and only one of them are to help with bills which would be the United Way all of the others are for meds only.
