Headaches with vomiting? |
My b/f is 28 and in decent shape,He keeps getting these headaches which wouldnt worry me but sometimes he vomits when he has them,he gets them sometimes twice a month then sometimes he doesnt get them for 3 months or more but they do keep comming back and half the time he vomits when he gets them,i asked him if he ever felt dizzy to the point where he's about to fall over and he says no,Every time he drinks beer he gets them he rarely drinks and when he does its only like 2-4 beers but even when he doesnt drink he still gets them.what do you think it is? I think its migranes but is vomiting associated with migranes? He doesnt have medical insurance should i make him go see a DR anyway? What could be causing these headaches? Yes, i think that your boyfriend has migraines. I used to have them, until i went to a doctor. Vomiting is associated with migraines as well. Some of the things that really aggravate migraines is some types of foods. These foods are different for everybody. My advice is to tell your boyfriend to see a doctor. Only a doctor would know, maybe a blood test will reveal the answer. yes vomiting could be a symptom of a migraine. Those are called migraines... I've had them - and I always used to throw up when I'd get them- luckily, for some reason, mine went away- and I quit getting them... when I used to get them.. I didn't want to hear any sound - or Light bugged the crap out of me ... This sounds a lot like migraines and he really should see a dr. Because he doesn't have medical insurance check with your city's health dept to see if they offer a free clinic. If not, then check to see if there is a Medical School close by that might be able to help. Well I used to get migraines about once a month and would vomit as well. But no beer or drinking was involved. I would just get sensitive to light and sound. The pain was so intense but once I started to vomit it would slowly start to subside. OH YES, vomiting and migraines go together....first of all if he doesn't want to go through with this again and you know that beer is one of the causes....then by all means, stay away from the beer. Do you mean this only occurs after he has consumed alcohol? If so, he maybe allergic to alcohol. If that is the case, the symptoms will become progressively worse and can be fatal. If they have occurred without the consumption of alcohol they be migraines. He should not ignore this. The next time it happens go right tot he ER. There they will perform either/or CT scan and MRI to rule out a tumor etc. Since he is without insurance they will send a case worker to talk to him to discuss options. He can not ignore his health because of his lack of insurance. He could be getting migranes. Some people vomit when they have really bad migranes. Is the pain usually on one side of his head? It sounds like the migraines i get, the only thing that helps is sleeping and sounds yucky but to vomit relieves some of the pressure. |
