Flu and vomiting?

I looked up flu symptoms and it says that diarrhea and vomiting are usually only a side effect in children. Is it more common in younger children, or does it also mean teens?

I have a strange yet major fear of vomiting, yet many people at my school have it.

Is the flu different from the "stomach flu" or is it the same thing and just affects certain people differently?

The flu is totally different from the "stomach flu"

The flu is caused by an influenza virus and takes 10-14 to recover completely. You don't usually throw up.

The stomach flu (major throwing up) is usually caused by a norovirus and is completely over in 3 days. The best way to prevent getting the stomach flu is purell and washing your hands (often throughout the day). The stomach flu passes from person to person when they touch surfaces and then touch their nose, mouth or food.

The stomache flu is alot of times really food poisoning , but yes teens and adults can get diarrhea and vomiting when they have the flu. I have seen it alot of times

flu or influenza is characterized by a fever greater than 102.9 with a sudden onset, body aches, and respiratory symptoms. gastroenteritis can have body aches, but generally has nausea, vomiting, and/or diarrhea associated.
