Fear of vomiting? (please help)? |
Ok, so ever since i was little i have had bad emetophobic (fear of vomiting). I dont vomit alot though (thank God) but i have an emensce fear of the Stomach Flu. I take vitamins and drink orange juice everyday, wash my hands before i eat, all that good stuff. But i still cant shake my fear of getting it. I know I'll get it sometime in my life so how do i deal with it? If any of you also are emetophobic how do you deal with this? I used to have the same fear until I got pregnant and had to face morning sickness LOL welcome to the club, i'm an emetiphobic too! i hate it. ever since i was a kid i was like this, and i just cant shake it. i try to stay away from situations that might have vomiting involved. like at the amusement park, if i see someone eating a bunch of food before getting on a scary ride, i will not sit near them. and if i see someone getting sick i will run or jump out of the car. I used to be like that too, but then I started making myself vomit out of fear of becoming fat and now even sometimes I dread vomiting but force myself to. |
