Persistent nausea, vomiting and severe abdominal pain? |
I have been having persistent nausea vomiting and severe abdominal pain. The nausea gets worse when I do not eat for several hours, after I eat which is usually when it is accompanied by vomiting, and I am also nauseas in the evenings. In addition I am having severe abdominal pain mainly in the front, left, and left flank areas of my abdomen. The pain ranges from a numb to a very sharp pain where it even hurts to touch my stomach. I have been having these problems for several weeks. The abdominal pain for two months now. My gosh, I'm sorry you're experiencing so many difficulties. There are a thousand things that could be going on--some of them quite benign and self-resolving, and others more serious. My sister has similar symptoms and has been diagnosed with chronic irritable bowel syndrome--but as I say, it could be any of dozens of things. You obviously are seeking medical care, and that is good, but don't be afraid to get a second or even third opinion. In the case of my sister, the IBS was an uphill battle because she had difficulty early on finding doctors who understood and had experience with the condition. Good luck to you, and don't be afraid to challenge your caregivers if you feel they are not doing enough. My first thought was food poisoning. But I am sure there are other things it could be. It sounds like it could be several things, but mention to the Doctor (because they are not always right) pancreatitis and appendacitis. He can use certain simple blood tests for pancreatitis I am not sure about the appendacitis. That's what comes to my head. I would have him rule it in or out. Good luck! |

Simply put, the two could be related. However, it'd be best if you asked your doctor (and I highly suggest that you do!). A health question like this is too serious to be asked online; when ... take a bucket 2 bed with you and plenty of water to drink and rehydrate yourself and it will also give you something to bring up. dont take any medication 2 help yoy stop throwing up as if it is a ... |
