Please read, urgent. Possible harmful mental illness.?

I am a fifteen year old male. When I was younger, I was diagnosed with dissociative disorder; it was, however, very mild. But recently, my symptoms have been getting worse and I fear that the problem I have may be something more than just a simple case of DD. Since January 10th of this year, I have been seeing faces as either mutilated/scarred, or very old. The changes were gradual, starting with the faces simply looking more and more tired, until they got to how they look now. I've also been hearing two distinct voices (that no one else hears, obviously). They are both my voice, but one is high-pitched and the other is low; one comments on my actions, and the other on the emotions of other people (or what I think they are). When I look at myself, one voice repeatdedly tells me I am worthless, and that I should kill myself. I would greatly appreciate any advice of any kind. If needed, contact me by email for additional details. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi , You seem to be very inteligent, so I am going to tell you straight out. You are having symptoms of a more extreme nature, and you need to talk to a Doctor about it. 15 is an extremely common age for these symptoms to increase, especially in males.
I am sure that you are aware that the voices are not correct, you are not worthless, you should not kill yourself. However, I cannot tell you how to tune them out, you will need a Dr.s help. There are soooo many medications that you can take that can help you, and there are groups that you can attend with other people who are suffering from the same symptoms.
Being aware of the fact that you are having these symptoms is a huge step in the recovery process. Help your Doctor to help you, and you should be okay soon.

Please, Please, Please, I urge you to get off of the internet and call a Dr., or the emergency room to let them know of your symptoms. The sooner you seek help, the sooner it will come.

go to a psychiatrist!!! you need some serious help before you hurt yourself!!!!

You need to discuss this with your psychiatrist.

There is medication that can help you. There is no need for any of us to contact you by email. This is something that must be handled in your doctor's office, by certified people experienced in dealing with your type of illness.

talk to your parents or a teacher(anyone but do it now). you NEED professional help.

Talk to a parent, then a doctor or some kind of therapist. I read a book like thi once and I'm afraid this could lead to something very dangerous like suicide. For your own good, get help.

sounds like it could be serious. i think you should see someone quick.

you probably have schizophrenia get some mental health treatment pronto

hey, definetly get help. that sounds scary and I think you should talk to someone. good luck, I hope things get better :]

Hon it'll be ok ,it'll be ok. Just don't listen to the voices, ask whomever you live with about it, be honest aswell. Everything will be OK.

sounds schizophrenic you should see your doctor, that can be a dangerous disease if left un medicated. It can lead to murder or suicide at worst. It's best to make sure of what it is before someone gets hurt.

It sounds very harmful to me.
You need to get help, whether it's medication or a therepist [i go to a therepist... and it's not as bad as everyone makes it out to seem. it's actually very helpful.]
but you need to try and get help, especially if things are getting worse and worse... do you want this illness to dictate the rest of your life and manipulate the way you see things? Even though there's no magic remedy... I think you should be doing everything possible to help yourself along in this.
good luck

While I cant tell you what your problem is exaclty I can give you my opinion!
It is possible that you are suffering from something like bi-polar or schitzopherania, I suffer from bipolar and sometimes get symptoms such as yours.
The only thing you can do to really help yourself out it to speak to a doctor or psychologist and they wil be able to give you an idea of wats really wrong!
You can email me if you want to know anything else!
Good Luck!

oh wow. trust me everyone is normal and people are the people they look like. voices in your head? these things? have you ever watched scary movies? perhaps it is your conscious and unconscious mind battling. this is just a hypothesis. aw that must be so scary!!<3333 poor youuu omggg<33333 you are very strong for putting up with this<33

dude for your safety and the safety of others you need to get to a docotor and tell the doctor what is going on. tell your parents so they can get you the help you need. this is not meant to sound mean, rude, or judgemental. i'm worried for your safety. i don't know much about mental illnesses but this sounds pretty serious. have your parents get you the help you need before you hurt yourself or someone else. sorry you are going through this. you need your family and doctor's support. good luck

Honey, this is a VERY Scary situation to be in. Go to this site:

Take the mental evaluation quiz, print it out when you are done, and follow the directions at the end of the quiz. Have your parents make an appointment for you. Any thoughts at all, whether it's you or 'the other you' of self harm is a cause of huge alarm! So you'll get an appointment right away.
I usually don't believe in medications for things such as ADD or ADHD, which you don't have, but in this case I have heard of medications that have awesome outcomes for cases like yours. Please take that quiz, please talk to a doctor. Medicinal and mental therapy will do wonders for you before it gets worse. Right now, you're at the perfect time because you still know the true voice (yourself) from the other voices in your mind but if you dont take action, that line you recognize will fade, and you will lose yourself.
Take action as soon as you can! Please!

it's not voices your hearing but your own thoughts telling you things, it's not actually audible but you think it is. If you are experiencing these things you need professional help, and you should tell your parents straight away so you don't have to go through this alone. This needs to treated asap as your condition will only get worse.

Child - dont panic. You can win over your problems with Meditation - an acknowledged way by the universe. You will become perfectly alright and can win the present things. I have posted two articles by an author on meditation - Please visit if you are interested at http://transcendental-meditation-forheal...

aiyo! that's seems serious, dude. it'd be best to seek professional help immediately. you really have dissociative identity disorder. talk to your parents/guardian about immediately and consult a physician.

wish you luck.

Seek an appointment with a psychiatrist as soon as possible. If the appointments are too far away, make an appointment with a therapist that you can get in to see quickly...that will help you until you can see the Doctor. If your "voices" start to make you feel like hurting yourself or someone else, go to a hospital Emergency Room at once. You will get immediate help there. Please get help....NOW!kjl

When you already have been diagnosed with dissociative disorder and are now having suicidal thoughts it is urgent that you seek help immediately. If you can still speak with the doctor or therapist by whom you were diagnosed that would be best since they know the specifics of your preexisting condition. It is very important that you let someone whom you can really trust and count on know what is going on with you now. I can't stress that enough- don't put it off. This could be signs of a more serious disorder and you should seek help.

You need to see a professional NOW.

These are really disturbing symptoms and they don't sound like they're getting better through your will power or they're just fading away naturally.

Who diagnosed you? Can you go back and see her/him again? If not, go to your regular doctor or pick a psychiatrist from the phone book.

psychiatrist!
GO!
NOW!!!!!!
