Mental Disorder?

This may sound like something odd to ask but I think something is very terribly wrong with me.
It started when I was in bed and when I woke up, I mean I was completely woken up, I had this gut instinct something was right next
to me. I turned and there it was, It was in the form of something made of nightmares and it was
a pitch black figure in the formation of something truley evil. I of course being the coward and all
yelled and for some odd reason I was being held down. After this it stoped and I was fine. I just
thought It was some bizzarre night terror like scientists say when you're body is some what awake,
and asleep. After a couple of weeks of this incident, I get disturbing images in my mind, like
unwanted stuff. I tryed to cope with this problem but then It gets even worse, I see dark grimacing
faces when ever I look around or blink. I hear voices sometimes in my head that take over, saying
horrid things. It's really pissing me off because I can't even study or work and I'm getting
stressed from this? Does anyone know if this is some mental disorder, I truley need something
for this.

The particular symptoms you describe are not especially typical of any particular disorder and I would not venture a diagnostic interpretation without a lot more information. It's possible that you did experience a hypnogogic or hypnopompic hallucination and that your anxiety over the experience is beginning to create further symptoms. A thorough history, as well as information regarding other areas of functioning would really be needed to offer any further interpretation.
See a therapist and a psychiatrist to help further elucidate what this may indicate. It could be something relatively minor that can be corrected before it escalates or it could be something more serious that is at an early stage of development.

You need to see a Counselor it sounds like schizophrenia.

The symptoms of schizophrenia fall into three broad categories:

Positive symptoms are unusual thoughts or perceptions, including hallucinations, delusions, thought disorder, and disorders of movement.

Negative symptoms represent a loss or a decrease in the ability to initiate plans, speak, express emotion, or find pleasure in everyday life. These symptoms are harder to recognize as part of the disorder and can be mistaken for laziness or depression.

Cognitive symptoms (or cognitive deficits) are problems with attention, certain types of memory, and the executive functions that allow us to plan and organize. Cognitive deficits can also be difficult to recognize as part of the disorder but are the most disabling in terms of leading a normal life.

sorry to say but it sounds like schizophrenia. you need to see a psychiatrist not a g p. it usually starts in males in their teens, and there is treatment for this. you can have successful life, but you may need some medication, as medication seems to be the only thing that this illness responds too. quite often in runs in families, and is genetic, hope you get some help soon, i know u can feel better. i have worked with many people that have the same complaints as you do, and with some medication, your symptoms should go away , and you will feel better. . good luck
