What is the best remedy for vocal cord irritation?

I had a trache tube inserted into my trachea during surgury about 4 weeks ago.
Now I can only speak on a low pitch. I cannot project my voice, and I'm a singer.
Is there some type of therapy for this problem?

Rest your voice as much as possible. You can do a gargle but that will only help your throat not your trachea....Since it has been four weeks I would call my doctor. It should have cleared up a long time ago......Maybe there is some inflammation, or possible infection........that needs to be treated......

Talk to your doctor.

gargle a warm water mixed with salt every morning
that's very effective because when I join a choral group and our teacher said that we should do it in order for us to have smooth and clean voice
oh bytheway I have a friend a japanese singer friend named Tadatomo and he do it everyday too.

hope this one helps you as it helps me very well:)
good luck to you

honey and lemon in herbal tea nothing strong flavored, works wonder. But need to use regularly to see the effect. drink nothing but that and water for a coulple of months to bring back the voice. My husband went through it he is a singer to. Oh and stay a way from the coffee and sugar it just irritates it. Hope this helps :)

littearlly take it easy DONT stain your voice becauce if you try too hard you will ruin your voice
