Throat / speech problems , whats going on? |
Hello everyone , Im 16 and male. Ive been very frustrated about my throat for the past few months. When I speak nowadays , i feel a pain in my throat near the pharynx or the muscles around my larynx. Speaking feels so tiresome and its like my vocal cords are grinding together. As a result I normally speak at a low volume and even after that, my voice becomes breathy and there is there slight distortion-like overtone where it sounds like a certain part of my vocal cords is is vibrating differently. My voice tends to flip sometimes as well. I've seen the doctor many times and he finds nothing, but the pain and the distortion wont go away. Please help me =[ Some major medical centers have voice clinics through departments of Otolaryngology. Perhaps you could seek out an expert in this area. for example, at University of Michigan, they have a voice program. Get a laryngoscopy. |
