Has any one ever had this?

has anyone ever had bruised vocal cords before and if so how did they feel, My throat has been sore for the bast 2 weeks now and i know its not strip because it doesn't hurt that bad it usually only hurts went i sing or yell. any ideas on this problem?

Maybe it is from pollen, where I live this time of year is a plant called, scotch bloom or broom ( I never remember the correct name), it is a large bush, like 4 or 5 feet tall with yellow flowers and it gets on everything like dust, it makes my eyes burn, throat sore and feel tired, lasts until about June, but makes life miserable

Stop singing and yelling. Do gargles with lemon, honey and salt. Try not to talk for a couple of days. You will get better.

It might still be strep - last time I tested positive for strep my throat didn't hurt at all, but I had a sore neck and terrible headaches. Get tested just in case. If you did hurt your vocal chords, then over the next few days speak quietly, don't sing, and take some aspirin to bring the swelling down.
