Do I have vitiligo or fungus or what? |
Could you please describe symptons of vitiligo. I have many white spots on my lower, upper back and a few on my abdomen. they appeared to be spots instead of patches. one doctor said it was fungus, another said it was vitiligo. Vitiligo is a loss of pigment producing melanocytes in the skin. It is an autoimmune disease that most frequently occurs after the skin affected is exposed to more sun than usual. The result is the smooth irregular milky-white patches. It usually begins in late adulthood. |
