Vitamins..?


i am 14 years old and i do not eat any vegetables. what would be some good vitamins or supplaments for me to take?

Vegetables contain large amounts of minerals. These are essential to health. Vitamins are cofactors that are necessary for you to be healthy. When you are young, and 14 is young, you will not be noticing the deterioration that is going on in your body because you are in a growth phase of life. As you get a little older, you will age much faster and start having lots of problems by not getting the nutrients you need.

Vegetables are carbohydrates. You need at least 40% of your diet to be these. I suggest you start with picking one vegetable that you may like or at least can tolerate. Figure out a way to make it taste good. A good example is to pick broccoli. Steam it until it is soft enough to stick a knife into. Then get some AGED cheddar cheese (at least 9 months aged) Grate it on heavily. The combination of the cheese and broccoli is really good. Another way I have found that people can mask the flavor of the broccoli is to steam it and then put regular vinegar on it and eat it that way. Also, try putting lots of butter on it when it is hot.

It's important to get vegetables in your diet.

The more you work on this, the easier it becomes and then you will start looking forward to eating them because your taste buds will be trained.

Vitamins from pills are usually not in a complete complex and they deplete your body of cofactors and you will become deficient from taking them and if they are synthetic vitamins, they will shorten your life.

I used to be like you. I hated vegetables and it wasn't until I started having problems from deficiencies that I learned to prepare them so I could eat them. The more I ate them, the better it got. You can do it too. Don't give up. It is worth it.

why do you not eat veggies? If you are against eating them i would take a multi vitamin.

    You should be getting all the vitamins you need thru your food, but if you don't eat healthy I suggest just a good mutivitamin. You are healthy so don't worry about anything fancy.
