Vitamins & supplements, when to take, how to take, what to take in combination? |
I take a LOT of supplements. As soon as I see a story on a particular vitamin, mineral or other supplement, I go out and I buy some and then use it for a few days/weeks. But I feel as if I'm wasting my money because I don't really see any difference in how I feel. Supplements can be beneficial if taken in moderation. You'd probably do best to take a multivitamin on a daily basis and then try one thing at a time for at least 3 weeks at a time, preferrably 6 or 8 to really know if the supplement is helping. Pay attention to whether your energy bursts are related to caffeine or sugar intake OR if they are related to your moods, that is a typical thyroid symptom. Liquid vitamins You should consult your doctor about this. I feel like you. I've taken lots of different vitamin supplements. And some have worked and some haven't. What I've learned is that it is better to give a supplement at least a 30 day trial to truly start seeing the benefits. Also, liquid vitamins are usually better absorbed in your body than pills. I've finally found a complete liquid vitamin and essential mineral supplement that I love! It makes me feel better overall. More energy and less cravings. It's called Vemma and I get it online at www.TheSecretNutrition.com. It even has a 100% money back guarantee if it doesn't work for you within the first 30 days. Ugh. I sound like a commercial. Sorry. I am just so thrilled that I feel better, and I'm saving money because I'm not buying and trying tons of supplements now. Also, I want to mention something about the thyroid. As a suggestion, I highly recommend treating yourself to a day at the spa or some other treat to relax. Thyroid problems can be exacerbated by stress. Relax and be good to yourself. |
