Prenatal vitamins and reg vitamins.?

My fiance and I are planning on haveing a baby sometime next year and i want to start taking prenatal vitamins now. I am already taking one a day energy vitamins. My question is should i continue taking my regular vitamins on top of prenatal or should i only take the prenatal and nothing else?

Just take the prenatal vitamins because you do not want to overload your body and receive to much of certain vitamins. Prenatal vitamins are usually higher in Iron and Calcium then regular one. Your body also gets vitamins from food so it is advised to only take so much vitamins

The first thing I would do is stop taking the multi-vitamin. Pour the contents into the toilet and flush. This will just save a little time from running them through your body with the same results. Multi-vitamins are a complete waste. They contain synthetic vitamins that are actually chemical activators made from non living sources that damage your DNA and statistically shorten your life. The Thiamine (B-1) in the pill you are taking, for example, is made from coal tar. The Ascorbic Acid (claimed to be vitamin C), is made from sugar cane extract. It won't even cure scurvy. There is a lot of misinformation out there and I don't blame you for asking the question you have. Look at the multi you are taking and most likely the calcium source is calcium carbonate, blackboard chalk; the cheapest form of calcium the manufacturers can get. Junk. Your bones are only about 10% calcium carbonate type calcium at most.

The most important thing you can do to prepare for having a baby is to take a high quality Betaine HCL and Activator with a digestive enzyme after each meal. Take the Betaine HCL and Activator after each meal and the digestive enzyme during the meal. This will lower your stomach pH and actually allow you to digest calcium, magnesium, and zinc; get rid of any acid indigestion issues, and help you lose weight. The baby will put demands on your body that you need to be prepared for. Prenatal vitamins are a joke, but who's laughing? To keep your baby from getting ear infections and to develop the nervous system, you need to be eating a lot of omega 3 fatty acids.

If you think your doctor knows about nutrition, just ask him why pregnant mothers get "morning sickness." After he gives you his opinion, ask him how you can get rid of this. It should be very comical to hear his answers.

The real reason, for your information, is that your spleen is being overloaded by the fetus high cell metabolism and your spleen cannot handle the increased metabolism, so you have the morning sickness. You can get rid of this in one day and not get it any more if you increase the activity of your adrenal glands with some herbs. A good source for these herbs that really work (from personal experience) is at: www.healthline.cc (not .com). Purchase the Adrenal complex and take 9 of these before noon each day. Get at least 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep each night by taking 1 to 2 drops of melatonin under the tongue (from the same company -- very specially processed type) before bed.

I would also look at the "super food trio" that company sells. It contains all the nutrients you will need instead of the Prenatal garbage pills.

You are also going to want to take a high quality probiotic that contains the Acidopholus Infantalis. This is a friendly bacteria that has almost become extinct in America due to the antibiotics. This is what the baby needs to develop a strong immune system from your breast milk. You can get this by taking the 3 in 1 probiotic from: www.natren.com/ they will ship this to you in dry ice and guarantee their potency.

Be sure to flush your multi-vitamin pills down the toilet to keep anyone in your family from having to accidentally take that garbage. Save your money and don't buy the Pre-natal garbage. Totally useless and most likely even harmful.

good luck to you
