Afraid of excess of vitamins. (experts please)?

I've been keeping a count of the calories I intake for a few months for weightloss (along with exercise). So I cut down carbs like wheat, rice (not completely though) and started eating lots of fruits and vegetables, milk, yogurt, and stuff like that. Now that resulted in hair loss which I've been suffering for a month now. So I started taking this multivitamin tablet along with biotin so that there's no vitamin or mineral defficiency in my body because of dieting.

I just checked the tablets I'm taking. I take it one everyday as is recommended and it says it contains 10,000 IU of Vitamin A.

I know that excess of vitamins (especially like A which are fat soluble) can have toxic effects on body. i read about it online and overdose of vitamin A can even cause hairloss.
I do eat loads of vegetables like spinach, etc which are rich in vitamin A too.
So I think my daily dose of vitamin A is much more than the one that's recommended. should I take one multivitamin every two day?

yes, this is a concern.

i actually take a vitamin supplement that contains absolutely no vitamin A for this reason. i eat tons of vegetables and i get more than enough vitamin A from my daily diet.

the form of vitamin A found in most supplements is associated with bone fractures and increased risk of cancer if taken in high doses for long periods of time.

as far as hair loss goes, there are a million reasons why u might be experiencing that, and not all of them are related to diet.

make sure u are getting enough fat and protein on a daily basis. it sounds like ur vegetable and fruit intake is good already.

are u experiencing other symptoms along with the hair loss? if u are concerned, u should consider setting up an appointment with ur doctor.

if u want to finish up the bottle of vitamins u have, then taking one pill every two days is fine.

if u are interested in keeping detailed track of ur calorie, protein, fat, carb, vitamin, and mineral intake, u can try one of the following:

sometimes i skip my vitamins if i know ive already gotten enough nutrients from my food.

there are certain nutrients u want to avoid getting an excess of.. vit A is one, manganese is another, iron is another (especially for men)..

No, I don't think it's too much at all. Try to eat more healthy too though. Vitamins can't do it all.
