Post Vertigo question? |
Hello, Honestly I have to thank all of you so much. It hasn't gotten worse and I'm continuing to take the Antivert. I'm not really worried now because of what some of you said about the length of symptoms. My biggest fear was having to deal with this for a long time. I understand it may still happen but I feel better. Thank you, while the symptoms are unpleasant the worst part is not knowing when it may stop. i had the viral form of vertigo, it is called labrinthitis... it takes about 2 weeks to completely dissipate....if you take the over the counter chewables called bonine, it will help with the dizziness..... also a motion sickness medication will help... believe me, i feel your pain... hope you feel better soon!!! Think about "Meniere syndrome" The Antivert is intended to be used every time you have episodes of vertigo. Sometimes, this can be an inner ear complication of mild head congestion and takes time to go away. It CAN return at any time, some people have it frequently, others go years between bouts. I would be taking my medication on a regular basis and at least one day after the disappearance of any symptoms. The ringing and slight flashing occur in everyone. It only needs attention when it becomes constant. You can call you doctor if you choose but they will advise you to get back to taking your Antivert on a regular basis and then call them only if it doesn't resolve the symptoms. I don't believe in most meds given by american doctors. Bandaids at best!!! in some cases (like yours),,can do more harm than good. http://www.labyrinthitis.org.uk/index.ht... |
