What is vertigo?

I am suffering a very sever vertigo ,the 1st attack was before 6 months and it lasted till yet . I used several vertigo madications without any benefit , doctors said that there will no enough blood flow to the brain i need help thanks in advance

In answer to your question, vertigo is a sensation of instability, giddiness, loss of equilibrium or rotation caused by a disturbance in the semicircular canal of the inner ear or in the vestibular nuclei of the brainstem.

If you're at risk for insufficient brain blood flow, it's not because of the vertigo -- it's due to the cause. You haven't mentioned diagnostics or a diagnosis. You need a doctor to help determine the cause of your particular vertigo if you haven't already done so. It's likely the cause that needs to be addressed before the vertigo can be resolved. You also haven't mentioned the medications you've tried and there are 6 that are used to treat vertigo, including BPPV (benign paroxsymal positional vertigo).

Have you heard of the Epley Maneuver for vertigo? Dr. Douglas Hoffman discusses it below. Perhaps this will help : )

Learn the art of relaxation. One simple practice is sukh pranayam.

Vertigo is a type of dizziness - specific to when you feel like you are swaying or spinning around even though the body is still. If you have it even if you close your eyes, it is called subjective vertigo; if you have it only when your eyes are open, this is objective vertigo.

Your vertigo could be caused by a great many things, from imbalances in the inner ear mechanism, to brain trauma, or a disease of some sort. If the vertigo medication has not worked, maybe he has misdiagnosed the root cause of the vertigo. You should try seeking a second opinion from another doctor for peace of mind.
