How to Prevent and aid vertigo?? |
Hello there! Anyone here who has vertigo? My father has vertigo and gets dizzy and throws up when he gets an attack. What are some ways to help prevent vertigo attacks? He has already limited his sodium intake, and caffeine intake to help lower the intensity. This has taken over his life and feels unsafe to drive or work. If anyone on here knows or has vertigo, can you please share information on how you work to prevent it and possibly treat it. Thank you! He has been to an ENT, and numerous other doctors as well as his regular physician. However, they only prescribed him medicine for dizziness and medicine to help stop vommiting. Which medicines are the best medicines to be prescribed so that we can mention them to his doctor? Also, what other details do you need? He has already done therapy for his inner ear. He did crystalization and banine therapy. Thank you for your help! He need to consult a ENT specialist and find out cause for vertigo. Also a general physician visit is must to check BP. Mostly it is middle ear problem and there are excellent medicines available. Does he have ringing noise from the ear ? I used to have similar problem many years back but now it is under total control. I can help further but I need more information. |
