Vertigo suffer?

it was months that i was suffering from headache n vertigo. now it is 3 weeks that i just suffer vertigi but everyday. what may be the root of my problem?

I just experienced this myself and goodness, it's awful! I had to go to the E.R. If it's so bad that you feel like you're going to pass out or need immediate attention, go to the E.R. There's not much they can do there though...They can give you a medication called Antivert (Meclizine) and a medication for nausea (usually Zofran) for relief.

Ultimately, you need to see an ear specialist. They need to determine if you have an ear infection or something called Benign Positional Vertigo (BPV) http://www.emedicinehealth.com/benign_po...

If you have BPV, then they can move your head in various positions to move these crystal-like particles that have becomes dislodged.

In the event that BPV is ruled out, you might need a brain MRI with contrast. That's what I had to get this week. Do you get headaches? It could be migraines, but they have to rule out more serious things like Multiple Sclerosis too.

Here's a very inclusive website that explains all kinds of balance disorders (assoc. w/ Vertigo). I couldn't for the life of me determine what was causing it and it's the most terrible feeling!

ETA: since you've had it for so long, I really suggest a work-up, rather than just taking some medication as a mask, but it's your call. It's just concerning to me...

Feel better & good luck :)

You may have an inner ear infection,if you have a ringing in your ear or some hearing loss then it proably is Meniere's Disease. I have it and antivert manages the Vertigo.

Have your dr check your ears. That can cause veritgo or it could be a different kind of migraine where you dont have the headache but the other symptoms are present. Get checked out by your doctor as soon as possible. Best of luck.

Vertigo is usually caused by problems with the inner ear, although there can be other and very serious causes. The combination of headache and vertigo might have been from a sinus problem that affected your ears. If it's an ear infection it will be easy to treat. You should go see your doctor.

Please get it properly evaluated. Vertigo can be a troublesome symptom of a host of diseases- Hypertension, Minieres(Internal ear problem),Cervical spondylosis, VBI(insufficient blood supply to brain) etc. Could be anywhere between simple to serious in nature. Consult your GP, and then the required specialists
