Can a patient refuse to use a ventilator even if she/he had a total transaction of spine at c4? Heck yes! The patient has the right to refuse treatment even if it can prolong his life. Well you should be easily able to force someone in that condition... Not sure...But You should ask your family doctor instead of us or else people will give you the wrong message and You can throw away a LIFE ! A patient is a person and has the right to refuse whatever they want. If someone in such a dire circumstance has the ability and spirit to refuse a treatment, then it should certainly be honored. These are complex legal questions, but the answer is yes as far as I'm concerned. Yes. |
