Why does the fact of having a q-tip, or swab, inserted into the male upset the Yahoo censors so much?

Having a q-tip looking stick inserted into the male reproductive organ to check for a venereal disease is a part of labratory test. It is then placed on a culture dish.

Yahoo censors don't seem to like this fact, yet they allow a question posted about a woman who wonders why her vagina is wet and with a whiteish discharge after exercising.

They also allow Q & A with the 'N' word. They seem to approve of hateful comments, and comments about the female organs, but they disapprove of medical, factual statements about male problems and experiences.

I would never pay for Yahoo services. It's not even worth it free.

Gumdrop, you sound real and honest. However, why ask questions if you don't accept replies?

I used NO offensive language.

I deleted my own posting 3 times because I wasn' quite sure of the language I was using.

Then, when I did post it I was deleted. I thought because I used the word penis.

My point being, if that was the case, why is penis a bad word, but the word vagina is accepted to Yahoo censors?

I'll repost it later, but I've been waiting for a possible reply from Yahoo after explaining why I thought they were mistaken for the deletion.

I would guess that they don't want people to "try this at home".

Let me know when your Q gets reposted, and i'll answer it if I can. Report It

There is nothing vulgar about the word VAGINA. It is an anatomical part. There is nothing vulgar about asking about CERIVCAL MUCUS (aka whitish vaginal discharges) as that is also medical terminology. What term did you use to describe a urethrab swab? I have used the term URETHRAL SWAB many times to answer questions about STD screening and have never had a problem with the censors. Did you use a slang term to describe the penis? If so, that's what may have triggered the censure.

What did you say, more or less? If you repost (assuming it doesn't get deleted again), I can point out why it was removed, or at least back up your claim of wrongful deletion.

Anyway, are you aware of the wrongful violations board? You can post your complaint there.

ADDENDUM 1
Y!A has never censured me for saying PENIS. I've been doing health education for a few years now, and you really do have to finesse your diction so you don't offend someone. I have found that speaking in strictly clinical terms works best. I seldom euphemize unless it really help the asker understand what I'm saying better.

Anyway, if you would like to ask your question by adding another note, I will gladly address it to the best of my ability.

As for hate speech on Y!A, I always flag those immediately. but Y!A moderators do prioritize complaints. Objectionable Speech is not as high priority as some other categories (like Child Protection). I know they can't get to every report fast enough, but Y!A is far better moderated than many other websites.

ADDENDUM 2
Sorry I couldn't make it easier to contact me. Apparently, Y!A is the place to go if you want to cultivate a small army of enemies. But yeah, post a COMMENT in here if you want me to look at your real question. I don't look at my questions much.

I doubt the thieves will ever be caught, but a friend of mine did offer me a snazzy solution. I'll let ya know if it works.
