Weird enlargement of veins in arm and hand?

What does this mean?...

A few days a week, the veins in my arm start to get large, my whole arm turns completely blue (I think because of the vein)...
my hand starts to hurt and in my palm, fingers, wrist, and top of my hand, my vein sticks out, completely, making huge, long 'trails'...could this be because of my poor circulation?

(I also feel a slurping sensation in my legs, and my body limbs also fall asleep or go numb, stiff, pressured, ALOT!)...

Could it all be because of an auto-immune disease?

I won't go in to the auto-immune disease stuff, because there's so much and I'm seeing some doctors, soon to see a rheumatologist.

I just want to know if this vein thing would be part of a auto-immune disease, particullary Lupus? and if not, what do you think it is from?

P.S. - because of the continuing symptoms, my doctor may think I have neuroalgia (nerve damage where I feel a painful shooting from my chest up my neck probably to my brain) and arthritis...

PS. I didn't want to get into this, but I am worried about Lupus beacuse of other symptoms and blood tests positively indicating it as well as genetic factors, but I wanted to just know about the veins mainly...thanks for your answers, I appreciate it ! :)

Don't panic until a doctor tells you to. It sounds like a vascular problem. Auto-immune would be the body attacking itself wheras vascular is the blood vessels. I wouldn't worry about lupus, they can check for that with a quick blood test. If a doc has not seen your arms when the veins are swollen, take a picture. Good luck, and get a second oppinion if you feel you need one.

WOW you are really sick but you should really go see a doctor dont ask us we are just regular people. good luck hope you feel better

This does sound like a clotting problem, and I'm glad tests are being run. You say that you have positive Lupus tests? Are you speaking Lupus Anticoagulant?(LA) This is not Lupus, nor an anticoagulant. It is an antibody indicating Antiphospholipid Syndrome. Sadly many doctors do not test for this. I have Primary Antiphospholipid Syndrome. I may have Lupus too, but at this point I do not have a firm diagnosis, only probable.
Best wishes
