Varicose Veins and Treatment?

I am having a problem with the varicose veins on my legs. I've had them for more than a year now and they didn't look too serious until recently. Everytime I participate in an activity where I stand on my feet, such as tennis, I feel excruciating pain in my legs. The pain is so great that I have to sit down and massage my legs to ease the pain. However, this does barely anything to alleviate the pain.

I have done extensive research on varicose veins and I have done all the "at home" treatments that I can. I watch what I eat and I try to stay fit, but now it seems like I can't do that because my legs hurt whenever I do so. I try to stay off my feet and elevate them. This works, but I'm a busy person so I'm always moving from place to place.

I was wondering if I should go ahead and ask a doctor if they can provide sclerotheropy because I don't think I can take it anymore. It would be great to hear from folks who have had varicose veins and had successful treatment. Thanks.

Unfortunately, out of all the people i know who have this problem not one of them got rid of the problem completely.
the only thing they really did that relieved the pain and size of the vains was rest, elevation and taking a quarter asprin a day.
