Veins look very blue?

Is it normal that you can see all your veins through your wrist? (The side on the under part of your arm?) I can see all my veins and they look really blue but it doesn't always look like this so I was wondering what it meant like I was dehydrated, etc?

Everyone has blue looking veins, that's normal.
From time to time they will look more pronounced than others.
It is said that people who smoke will have more pronounced veins as smoking is a vaso-constrictor,in other words smoking or the nicotine in the cigarette causes your veins to tighten up and will make them look more pronounced.
Generally speaking if you are dehydrated, your veins will become less visible or less pronounced. This is the problem that the elderly have when they are dehydrated and end up in the hospital. . . .they always have a problem starting an IV because of this.
I take that your profile picture which depicts you as a blond so that would tell me that your skin is fair as suggested by another person who answers your question so your veins ARE more visible. . . .NOT to worry.

If you are fair skinned that is normal. My daughter is fair and we can see her veins all the time.

um i have no idea..umm you might try getting some fresh air often. Because i think your not getting enough air, that explains why your veins look blue. If your veins are popping out you might have this thing, (i think it was called vascular veins?) try getting any medicine that can help. And if you're extremely skinny, my advice to you is to gain some fat.

Hello,

Veins are normally blue. I agree that the more fair skinned you are the easier it is to see. Dehydration makes veins more difficult to see and feel. Also consider any recent weight loss. The less tissue you have covering an area the easier it is to see details. Most likely they look more evident because you were studying them.
