My veins in my arms, hands, and legs are sticking out--should I be worried?

Ok, for a couple weeks now my veins in my arms and hands are very noticeable. They look bluish-black, swollen, and defined. I am also dealing w/an odd skin reaction and notice little blue specks on my skin (whether they are landing or coming from--idk?) my left arm hurts alot too. My joints hurt for a couple weeks too. I look sunburned but I havent been in the sun. Its not allergic b/c I took Medrol dose pak, used hydrocortisone, & Claritin (dbl dose). Nothing works. I get sharp pains throughout my hands and all over. A certain vein on my finger hurts when touched. Should I be worried and what could this be?

To the person who asked if I am a heroine addict--ABSOLUTELY NOT! I have never taken anything stronger than Vicodin. I am a mom of 5 so cant help you there.

It sounds like it could be a clot. Go to a hospital now.

you should see a doctor immediately because my friend's mom died from a vein problem. her vein bursted and it kinda sounded like what you have. hope all goes alright.

It sounds like it could be a blood clot of some kind and I would go now to the doctor if I were you. Anytime there is swelling and pain of any sort and you do not know why it's time to go to the doc's office.

Could be varicose veins or cellulite. Go consult a doctor ASAP.

Are you a heroin addict? It sounds like you are in terrible health. Don't have children. I hope you don't pass that on. Our health care system is already overwhelmed with people with poor health. I'm so sorry for you.

Now I'm really concerned knowing that you've past along your defective genes to five children already. You should get them to the genetic counselor so they can learn how to prevent passing those genes to their offspring.
