Varicose veins? |
Hi there! I have a question for any ladies that have varicose veins on their calves. I have had these varicose veins on the back of my leg for quite some time now and they looked like they were protruding from the skin. Now, the puffiness is gone and they are flush with my skin. I fully intend on going to the doc, I was just wondering if anyone else has had this happen and knows what causes it. I am worried that they have burst or something. At times, the back half of my leg will feel tight and sometimes goes numb. Also, my baby will fall asleep on me and in order to stand up while holding her, I will push myself up using just my legs. Could I have done something to the veins by doing that? Thanks for your help. No, they haven't burst. I had the same thing happen to some of mine (pity it couldn't have been all of them) and I checked with the doctor. He told me that sometimes they just become less engorged, and sort of deflate - but that it was nothing to worry about unless there was pain in that area. well, i don't really know, but i do know that they're not that good. go to the doctor's. my mom got hers removed, and she likes it a lot better! I get really bad varicose veins on my right calf when I am pregnant... like I am now. After I have the baby they go away. I also had bad veins on my calf when I was over weight. I lost weight and they went away. Have you had some weight loss? Sometimes even if you try to treat varicose veins they won't go. You need to learn to accept them and wear a little skirts. |
