Can a vegetarian diet help reduce??? |
Can a vegetarian diet help to reduce risks for obesity, heart disease, diabetes, high blood presure and certain types of cancer? I believe any well balance diet is capable of reducing the risk of the conditions you listed above. Just because you are not eating meat doesn't mean you are eating healthier. I know vegetarians whose diets contain just as much fat, cholesterol, sugar, and carbs as any meat eater's. Reducing your intake of those substances is what reduces your risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, as well as the other conditions you mentioned. From what I have read yes. But there is certain criteria. Like if you're a vegetarian you need to still get enough prtein into your daily meals. You can't just replace meat/protein with veggies and carbs. You have to keep it balanced. Yes, but only if you have a lot of variety. |
