Vegetarian Diet option high in Protein?


Im a Vegetarian, and up until very recently had no problem with the lack of susbstantial protein in my diet. However, now that i am trying to lose weight ive found it that the upside to eating meat was that it filled me up in smaller protein rich portions. BESIDES soy, can anyone give me ideas as to what to eat to fill me up without eating meat?

Ill look into the Whey Protein.

As for the second answer regarding eggs: i do that already, but that *CAN* cause high cholesterol if eaten too much. And you loose some protein (from my understanding )if you eat egg whites often...

Try seitan. It is made from wheat, not soy. It is about as versatile as tofu. It is also very filling.

I've trained some vegetarians in the past and even dated one...the best choice is a whey protein supplement, your getting some of the best protein out there and you're still not getting any meat.
