I am on a Calorie Restriction, Extreme Low Fat and Vegetarian Diet! Any good advice?


I am 5'11 190 lbs, Medium build, in shape and I follow a Calorie Restriction, Extreme Low Fat and Vegetarian Diet. My calorie intake is between 1500-1600 calories a day and I never go over 6-8 grams of fat a day. My diet consists of ONLY plant material and grain. NO MEAT PERIOD! Not even fish or dairy. In conjunction to my diet I have also been taking B12 supplements 1000 mcg a day.

I have been eating plenty of fruits, vegetables, beans, whole grain rice every day and peanut butter and nuts just once a week for a treat. In addition I have tried some Vegetarian meatless products such as Boca and Morning Star and they have tasted great.

I feel so much better. I have more energy. The first few nights I changed over to Vegetarian, stopped eating meat and ate plenty of fruits and vegetables I have a hard time sleeping. Like It wasn鈥檛 time for me to sleep & I had more energy. Is that normal?

Any advice on how I can enhace my diet? Any good suggestions to a new Vegetarian?

They have made jello, non - fat, no-sugar, 10 calories. Try not to eat carbs. They make this new Quaker thing that has no fat. about 35-50 calories. Well it depends on which brand u get and its really good for u.

try to eat healthy at places . U no like when theres like a birthday or somethin. Say u want water with salad and NO dessing cause thats alot of calories. Work out everyday, do 50 situps in the morning and at night. Do that 4 a while and u will be a stick. Hope this helps. Good Luck

I would like to suggest adding Quorn into your diet. I am also Practice a Calorie Restriction life style as well as being a vegetarian and have found this to be a wonderful tool.
