What is a good heathly vegetarian diet?

Someone suggested to me a low carb diet but according to that you are supposed to eat a lot of meat and cheese. I dont do meat. and on most low carb diets, soy products are not allowed. I need to loose about 45-65 pounds, and i need a healthy vegetarian way to do it.
Can anyone help me?

I think you should take a registered dietitian advice. They are the right people to guide your nutrition. An unbalanced vegan diet might lead you a malnutrition.

Have found an article on vegetarian dietery needs. Hope this helps. http://www.thehealthplanet.com... Report It

go vegan and eat 3-4 servings of rice a day... it sounds like alot but the pounds will melt away

The perfect Vegetarian Diet consists of eating "Live Foods." In other words, you would want to go raw. I did it and lost 48 lbs in three months, with very little excercise. Read "The pH Miracle" by Doctor Young and you will get all of your questions answered.

The chief benefit of the vegetarian diet is that with its focus on fruits and veggies and its avoidance of junk food, it decreases the toxic burden on the body.

It is of tremendous value as a short-term cleansing diet. The purist vegan diet is totally unsuitable for a long-term diet, however, because it deprives the body of essential nutrients available only from meat and animal products.

These nutritional deficiencies pose potentially deadly consequences to long-term health. Juicing would be a great way to add raw foods to your diet. It is critical that you incorporate some type of protein into your diet. You can lose weight in a healthy way.
